KENNELL (Crumpton) – Cindy K Kennell, age 58, of Grandville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 24, 2010. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Crumpton. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Robert Kennell; children, Michael (Lori) Kennell, Dawn TerMeer, Sara (Ray) Hochsprung, and James (Jenna) Gainey; grandchildren Jacob and Kellan Gainey; mother, Barbara Crumpton; siblings, Karen Feole, Connie (Chris) Armijo, and Jan (Paul) Erlandson; and many friends. Cindy was the first female law enforcement officer to work road patrol in Western Michigan and she was the first Sgt., Lt., and Capt. She paved the way for those that followed her. The funeral service will be held 11a.m. Tuesday at the Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie SW, (East Building). The family will meet with relatives and friends on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home (West Building). Memorial contributions may be made to the Jacob and Kellan Gainey Special Needs Trust Fund at Chemical Bank.
